B is for Business

An odd post for the alphabet describing a stay at home Mom, right? Well... let me explain. For as long as I can remember - I've wanted to do something on the side that is just enough to help out with some of the extras that life throws our way... but also allowing me to be able to stay at home to take care of my family.

Back in 2005, I started my own e-commerce adventure designing, producing and selling jewelry that I made. It was really fun and fulfilling as a hobby, but once it started becoming a fill the orders and less creating sort of adventure - it got a little stale. The business didn't pick up quite as I would have liked, and eventually I had to close it down because the costs were outweighing the profits.

Fast forward a few years, and I've started a new business. Okay, I started it in January... but the momentum has slowed considerably since I moved 10 hours away from my initial customer base. Some of you might ask what I'm doing... well I'm selling Stella & Dot Jewelry.  It is a FABULOUS jewelry line with all sorts of products from everyday items to the more dressy items that you'd wear when going out on the town.

I firmly believe in this company, and their quest to empower women. I have had a great time getting to know my sponsor, and learning from the women involved. I would love to talk to anyone interested in starting up a venture to make some extra money too - right now there is a great additional incentive for signing up.

Now, what I really wanted to tell you about is our new fall line - there are some AMAZING new products for this upcoming season, and I wanted to share some of them with you.
