So without further adieu... here are some pictures of the weekend:
A rock pond in the middle of our retreat area... great place for a quiet prayer. (I got pictures of several people spending some time there over the weekend)
The door prizes for the retreat - every woman leaves with a prize... all donated by church members and local businesses. I happened to win a Creative Memories album as my door prize - and I can't wait to put it to good use!
One of my favorite parts of the retreats... these are our mailboxes that people can leave us notes throughout the retreat. It is such a special time to come home and read some of the uplifting and encouraging notes that your sisters in Christ have left for you.
This is one of three craft projects that we had set out for us to make... very cute and creative! This one is a little notebook that I made.
Second craft, luggage tags... also SUPER cute!
And a book marker... so fun! I only wish that I could have donated some of my beads to help them!
When we arrived these lovely bags were on our beds... this is the one that I got.
Another of the bags... they also had red & black like this one... and some pink & brown polk-a-dot ones too. They had candy, a passport, and some coupons in them. At the end of the first night, we also got little tiny tea cups with saucers... that were full of candy as well.
My bed...
My cabin... there were 8 of us in our cabin and we had a GREAT time! We stayed up laughing, playing games, and all sorts of other mischief until 3 in the morning.
This is the cabin we stayed in - there are actually technically 4 cabins in there... we were on the back side opposite of where the ladies are going in the door... so we were on the backside. I guess they expected us to be the party cabin?! HA!
The barn... this is where had all of our sessions and speakers.
The cafe - where we had all of our meals. There were also two other cabins that had smaller rooms... I believe they slept between 4 and 6 - we had about 75 ladies on the retreat this weekend.
Some very talented women in our church wrote a skit and performed it throughout the weekend... The Sisterhood of the Traveling Purse was SUPER adorable! I only wish we had it on video!
This team of ladies participated in The Amazing Race on Saturday... they were my favorite team! The Amazing Race was great - they had to do 12 challenges ranging from breaking eggs on their heads to eating cupcakes without their hands to pushing a car... and pretty much everything in between. The pictures are hysterical!

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! That looks like so much fun! The retreats at my former church were NOTHING like this! The guys went to a camp ground and did fun stuff like that, but the ladies - not so much. Seriously, I wanna go with you next year! I bet you all laughed for hours on end!
