I'm so happy to hear from you, Denee'... I LOVE hearing from readers!

I've never thought of myself as being strong or inspirational... so I'm very flattered. I tend to see myself as just the opposite, but I've also been accused of being to down on myself lately - apparently John has had enough of the comments about my body/personality.

I don't know why I do that - I guess self preservation, or well protection... if I make fun of myself - then no one else can hurt me as badly... I think that was a coping mechanism that I used a lot when my weight as at its highest - so it's just habit. I'll work on that.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone... I'm off to enjoy dinner with John and maybe a movie. It's a rainy night here in Houston - so I'm thrilled that we chose to celebrate at home. (also because I'm having a very romantic case of nausea right now...)
