Honestly!!

I don't even know where the day has gone, but I am still working on getting organized in order to pack... I used to be the type of person that would pack days in advance... but not anymore... maybe it's because I don't have enough clothes to do that anymore? Or I just procrastinate? Who knows... all I know is that I've got to get on the ball because my sister is picking me up at 7:45 in the morning.

I've been calling and waiting for an answer on the surgery issue since 2:30, and I'm getting really frustrated!! Their office closes at 5:00, and it's now 4:45 - I just left her a message saying that I'd promised to let John's boss know the schedule before I left town. Which is true - we need to let him know as soon as possible.

Ahhh... she just called at 4:55 to tell me that I'm scheduled for Wednesday... I check in to the hospital at 11. Nothing to eat or drink after midnight the night before - which is normal of course, but GEEZ - even for someone that doesn't get hungry - I get headaches from not eating!!

I have to go first thing on Monday to do all my pre-op blood work and testing... so as soon as I get home from the trip - the fun begins again!!

I'm relieved to get that much off my shoulders though - I can now go on the trip and not have to worry about getting that scheduled while in another time zone. Hopefully a massage is in my future, and with a clear head... it will be GREAT!

I've spend a good portion of the day straightening up the house so that it'll be nice for John while he's on his little bachelor's weekend... I can only imagine that he's got a weekend of old school Super Mario Brothers 3 on the Wii planned for himself - and that might be just about it - other than mowing the grass. I feel sure that he'll get that done in anticipation of having to take care of me for a couple of days next week... but also since we got some rain today. (FINALLY!!)

The hurricane did bring us a couple of showers so far, and might bring in some more before the evening is over... and we'll take any of it as we're so far behind right now - naturally we're happy with any free irrigation for the yard too.

I believe that the blog as been left in good hands for the next couple of days - we've got two guest bloggers, and some pre-written stuff from me... so hopefully you won't even notice that I'm gone. HA! Actually I hope that you do miss me, but there will still be good stuff to read in the meantime.
